It is official!

We have received the Official Notification of Accreditation from the Middle States Association!  Our Accreditation will take effect on December 1, 2013 and will expire on December 1, 2020.  Congratulations and Thank You to all who helped in our two-year long effort to achieve accreditation for our school!

We are anxiously awaiting final word from the Middle States Association concerning our accreditation.  All of the documentation we created, along with the visiting team's findings, are being reviewed this month.  Sometime soon we should hear if we've been approved for accreditation or if we'll need to revise and update some of our work to meet accreditation standards.

Validation Team Report

We have received the official report from the validation visit.  The team report is only the first step in a four‐tiered review process that will lead to an accreditation decision by the Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.  You can view the team report by visiting the Middle States page from the North Schuylkill Website.

Validation Team Visit Conclusion

Today the Validation Team concluded their visit.  Please read the following message from our Superintendent, Dr. Smarkanic.

Dear NS Community:

I am extremely proud to announce that the Middle States Accreditation Team just gave their exit report to the faculty and staff of NSJSHS and will be recommending the NSJSHS for Middle States Accreditation.   

I want to thank Mr. Lucas and Mrs. Briggs for all of their hard work and commitment and the entire staff for their dedication to excellence in providing the best educational opportunities for our students.
